Teach me Mommy!

As many of you know, Tawny tutors in our home pretty much everyday except Friday and Sunday.  This is Spencer speaking by the way.  Hello.  Whenever she tutors Josh will say, "mommy teaching" and for some reason this turns a little switch in his head and he is a perfect little angel until she finishes.

Monday-Thursday she tutors one hour during the evening.  Since it gets dark outside earlier and the weather has not been as nice, we have been watching 'mommy teach'.  Josh usually sits perfectly still on my lap for about 30-40 minutes (chiming in with answers ever so often).  He has even learned some of the kids names and will look up at me and say things like, "mommy teaching Maria".  He loves watching his mom teach.

Tonight Tawny was cleaning up the section of our living room where she keeps her teaching materials and out of nowhere Josh picked up one of her little recipe boxes with flashcards, looked at Tawny and said, "mommy teach me".  Tawny was a little confused so she asked him if he wanted her to teach him.  He giggled and ran over and sat on the rug in the same place her students sit.

Tawny sat in front of him and began teaching him the exact same way she teaches her kids.  Josh was in heaven.  He was very attentive.  He listened, answered all the questions, and even tried to participate in some songs.

Josh sat long enough for Tawny to teach him a 40 minutes lesson.

We both agree this might have been the cutest thing he has ever done.  Check out the two videos below.
