My good friend Song

Tonight Josh and I went over to my friend Song's house. I met her a few weeks ago outside at the basketball court with her granddaughter who is just a little older than Josh. She is about 60 years old, speaks English and tends her granddaughter on the weekends. I really liked her as soon as I met her and  I kept thinking to myself I need to take her one of Josh's books. He has a really simple one with pictures and words like ball, girl, car... and I thought she would like to read it to her granddaughter. Anyways she doesn't live here she just visits on weekends so we went over tonight to play, and had so much fun.
This is Song. She asked me to give her granddaughter
an English name and knowing that names are so important
in china I said I will think very hard and tell you next time
but Spencer didn't even miss a beat
and he said how about Melissa :)
So we call her Melissa and they love it. Little Melissa is so cute!

She fixed us tea with roses and it tasted just like it :)
Josh played really well with little Melissa and
even felt comfortable around Song.
We will go back and play  this week.
Melissa. She would say her name and it
was so cute with her little accent.
Josh loved all the new toys to choose from and he
loved his little friend. They also shared some fruit.
