Busy Busy Busy

Real quick, here are a few extra pictures till I can sit down and blog. I can't believe its Aug already. We have been so busy the past week and a half that it has been hard to find time. But upon request I am putting up a few random pictures. So in case you are curious. I have picked up 5 kids to tutor in English. I love it, but it can be stressful. Lately, if I'm working Spencer has Josh and if he is working I have Josh then we go to bed and do it all the next day. I think last Saturday we might have done something all together but its not very often. Spencer's job is really busy right now preparing for the new semester and he works late.  I work in the early morning and at night for a little extra spending money. Once school starts then I won't be busy cause all my students will be back in school so things will settle down. I hope to keep some of them but we will see. One guy is 19 and is taking an important test to determine whether or not his English is good enough to study abroad. I really hope he passes just so I can send the missionaries to him once he leaves :) Anyways...besides working all week, usually there is someone staying with us for the weekend either a friend or a teacher. So we host a lot which we love doing. Other than that we are just trying to survive each day :) We are accomplishing almost all our goals that we had in coming here and we love it.

Josh is crazy about trains right now. Luckily we have a
train track about a 5 min walk from our house.

Spencer will take him here in the mornings
or evenings when I am tutoring and Josh
loves loves loves it. I'm excited to take
him on a train ride to Beijing.
Sunday night we had a friend over for dinner and introduced
him to tacos :) we found everything but sour cream :(  Rosenvall's can
 live off sour cream

We were given these grapes from a friend. They were huge.
And tasted more like plums and the skin
was sour but they were so good. I don't know
if they are called grapes or not.

One lady in our community made us some homemade Jaozi.
This stuff is to die for. It is so good

Speaking of a love of trains. Because I've been working so much
I took a little bit of money aside to get Josh a train set
from Ikea! Thanks Ikea :) He was so excited.
Just like the one at Grandma Rosenvall's house :) Except alot cheaper
This was Josh's Idea. So smart

We can hear the train whistle from outside our door and if Spencer catches
the train on first whistle he will grab Josh and literally
run to the tracks and Josh goes crazy. It is so cute.

Our next favorite thing to play is building a hole. Sometimes
its a fort but mostly a hole. We can watch cartoons, throw balls, jump
off the couch. The hole is key to having a good time.

So this is how we celebrated the 24 of July. Roasting HOT DOGS
 from Ikea of course.

After seeing how much Josh loved playing in sand and
water at the beach.  We introduced  him to cornstarch and water.
we would roll it into a ball then watch it melt in
our hands. He thought it was pretty cool.
Josh has stopped napping for the most part which means
he can go to bed early  but that doesn't help the fact that
I am so tired too :)He will usually give me 20 minutes.

Ikea PILLOWS
Playing at IKEA in a showroom. I hope my
brother Jared isn't cursing my name for how
much I take advantage of  IKEA :)
I really am there biggest fan!
