Saturday-Sunday
Yesterday Josh was looking a lot better and acting more himself...But this morning (Sunday) he woke up with a high fever and more red, swollen, bumps. It didn't look as bad as it once did but I knew it was going to keep getting worse. So, I called Sis. Yu, who once again came to my rescue. We went back to the hospital this time to see a specialist. Long story short. They did more blood work and found a virus is causing his hives and until the virus is under control the hives can't heal on there own. So, this is why i am missing america....They won't perscribe him an antibotic to take at home. I'm confused to why, I think she said because maybe the dose wouldn't be strong enough they would need to monitor it, anyhow, they gave him another IV this time with an anti-allergy and antibiotic. She said everything would fade but he would still need to go back Monday for another IV because if he doesn't the Hives will just come back until the virus is gone. So, it looked like he was getting better today and his fever went down, but as he was going to bed to me he looked more red :( I guess all I can do is wait until we go back in tomorrow.
This worries me so much. I was always worried about strange illness and things while we were in Venezuela. Keep a really close eye on him and don't hesitate to take him to the hospital and keep asking questions and change Dr.s and/or hospitals if you feel prompted to. Pray really hard for guidance.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mom! This was the worse and hopefully there is no need to visit a hospital ever again.
