Joshy

Well, we have been in China for 6 months now. I personally have had my ups and downs but Spencer loves it here. I always tease him how whatever he wants to have happen does happen.  I guess I just married that guy who knows how to get what he wants:) I have been feeling so blessed lately. It seems as if in our short 3 years of marriage Heavenly Father has really allowed us to do what we have wanted in life. (Meaning we always end up with many options to choose from when going down a new path and any option would be a good one). If you know Spencer he dreams big, so I'm excited to see where else this life will take us. He works hard. And is so understanding and supportive. I love him so much, he has made living here so nice for us. And it really is just nice going about our day not being tourists or needing to go out and see something or try something new. My favorite part about China obviously is this little guy in the picture above. What an adorable little guy. Joshy talks all the time, his sentence are getting really good. So now we can see his sense of humor. One example is while in Hong Kong Spencer went to the Temple and Josh and I were playing outside. He decided he needed something to drink so we went back to our room but I didn't have anything or any money -Spencer took his wallet to the Temple with him- So I explained to Josh how daddy had all the money and we had to wait to go get some juice. Josh ran over to a drawer in the closet, opened it, looked inside, then shut the drawer, immediately he stepped over to the next drawer opened it, looked inside, then shut the drawer. He walked over to the last drawer, opened it, looked inside, stuck his hand in there and pulled out some money! He looks up at me and said "Mom, money, juice". He must have been playing with money earlier and left it in there and remembered once he needed some. Some of his tag lines are.."Tickle bug" "Snuggle Bug" "I want some kisses" "Ready, set, go." "Mommy, hold you."- when he wants me to hold him. "Come here"-while pointing is finger somewhere. "Daddy, inside" whenever he is peeing he says "mommy poop, no pee."- every time.  At night he repeats over and over "Mommy's bed, no joshy bed, mommy bed." Sometimes I will say "no mommy's bed is dirty, we have to sleep in Joshy's bed." because sometimes it is. And he will say "Joshy's bed dirty." When we are being serious with him we will call him Joshua, and he has picked up on that so now he just mocks us and when he knows he is naughty he says Joshua. He can say other things I just can't think right now. He can count higher in Chinese than he can in English. And he can pick out his daddy's scooter in any parking lot. Which is impressive because there can be up to 30 scooters. I'm excited to have him around for the holidays being a mom is so fun with him. He is such a trooper here in China and I'm so glad I have so much time to spend with him.

  1. Today Josh was lying on the couch (not sleeping during nap time) and I was in the back room working. Josh shouted, "Daddy I want some kisses", so of course I ran out as fast as I could and kissed him. Right after I finished giving him a kiss he pointed to the back room and said, "Daddy go work". So I went back to work.
