Sight-seeing in HK?

This is like one of the coolest things. We needed to go to an apple store
in HK because China just isn't reliable and importing
taxes are a lot higher so this was the one
I wanted to go to. It is an over pass. That is so cool!

Upstairs looking down. There is a lot of glass in the building

 Looks so awesome
We took a ferry ride from Hong Kong Island, to Kowloon. Josh loved it.

we saw lots of boats!
Fun fact about Tawny, I get really sea sick.
Behind us is the Hong Kong island harbor.
In Chinese Hong Kong means fragrant port. It does smell better than China :)

Spencer's favorite tower happens to be next to the apple store. It is the tallest building in HK.

We read scriptures every night on our I pod and Spencer's phone and we have
always felt like we needed actual scriptures to read from.
I mostly just want Josh to recognize them and have his own
to read along with us. So while at the distribution center
 we each got a one.
We have a special spot for them and Josh
goes and gets them and puts them away :)

  1. Cool place. Good job on the B of M. I wonder if kids his age when they are adults will even use the book version? :)

  2. Ya, like Tawny said, we just use the scriptures on our ipod and my smartphone, so we never use the actual books anymore. Tawny mentioned a few times in the past that she misses not having an actual book, but to be honest, I am just as happy to read/study online or on my phone. We both felt there was something missing though from family scripture reading. How could Josh differentiate us using our phone/ipod for other things (which we do all the time) and the set aside scripture time at night? We felt the symbolism (or something he could log away in his mind) of sitting down together with our books was really important. It has made a difference too. Josh LOVES going and getting the books, handing them out to each one of us, and putting them away afterwards. Now he at least knows what the Book of Mormon is, whereas before I am not sure he had any idea what we were doing with the phone/ipod each night.

  3. That is kind of what I was thinking trying to differentiate a book of importance and a game/info thing. I'm glad you caught on to that.
